SUMMARY:August Indie Book Club!
DESCRIPTION:Join us Friday August 21st as we discuss 3 Awesome Independently Published Authors!\n\nGet Your Signed Copies In-Store or Online Today!https://thecozybooknookdayton.square.site/…/FWZJQIRTZGM…\n\nGracie:Most girls probably don’t go around picking up guys at family funerals.Gracie was seventeen when her grandfather died. Grandpa was the one person in Gracie’s life who believed her capable of anything despite her right-sided cerebral palsy. So\, when her parents decided to stay with Grandma for the summer\, Gracie wasn’t sure what to do with herself. She certainly didn’t expect to meet Elliott\, a family friend who showed up at the funeral with his own grandparents to pay their respects.Elliott was sweet\, funny\, and had the prettiest oceanic eyes that Gracie had ever seen. But he was able-bodied. Gracie’s one serious relationship had ended in disaster\, and she was terrified of trying to trust somebody like Elliott again. And when she wasn’t worried about her increasingly complicated feelings for Elliott\, Gracie found herself harboring a decades-old family secret: Grandpa had left her a box of letters exposing a forbidden relationship that threatened to tear Gracie’s family apart. The summer before her senior year certainly wasn’t shaping up to what Gracie expected it would be. Was she strong enough to keep Grandpa’s secret to herself? And\, perhaps more importantly\, could she bring herself to trust Elliott\, or would her own insecurities cause her to push him away?Gracie deals with dark themes\, including descriptive struggles of mental health. See “Read Inside” for further content warnings.\n\nBeyond the Bucket List:Dell never thought she and her boyfriend\, Charlie\, would have a last kiss. Or that she would be diagnosed with cancer when she was seventeen. Or that her passion for running would inspire her community. But a Hodgkin’s lymphoma diagnosis changes everything. When the disease doesn’t respond to treatment\, Dell makes a bucket list—if she can’t beat cancer\, she’ll live life on her terms for as long as she can. But despite growing close to a surprising new friend and deepening her relationship with Charlie\, Dell wants more. Her fixation on crossing things off the list drives a wedge between her and the people she loves when she needs them most.In a world where none of us is guaranteed enough time to accomplish everything we might desire\, Beyond the Bucket List reminds us that it’s not just what we do. It’s the lasting effect we have on the people around us.\n\nLegacy of the Elder Dragon:In a city where magic hums through the bones of ancient machines and forgotten gods sleep beneath stone\, four unlikely heroes\, an exiled elven warden\, a fire-wielding runaway\, a blade wielding tactician\, and a war-weary construct\, uncover a conspiracy threatening to tear the world apart. When a coordinated attack shakes the city of Atlas\, what begins as a search for a missing scholar unravels a deeper mystery tied to forbidden history\, fractured realms\, and a dormant power waiting to awaken. As ancient visions stir and darkness returns to the land\, the fate of Ulrun hangs in the balance and only by embracing who they are\, and what they were meant to become\, can they hope to stand against the rising storm.

SUMMARY:July Cozy Book Club!
DESCRIPTION:Join us Friday July 10th as we discuss “Mad Mabel” by Sally Hepworth! \nGet your copy In-Store or Online Today!\nhttps://thecozybooknookdayton.square.site/shop/july-2026-cozy-book-club/AI4BGJTUIOH3MHJUOEKLSCYL \nINSTANT NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER \nFrom New York Times bestselling author Sally Hepworth comes a twisty tale of justice\, redemption\, and one irrepressible woman who’s not done breaking the rules just yet. \nMeet Elsie Mabel Fitzpatrick: eighty-one years old\, gloriously grumpy\, fiercely independent\, and never without a hot cup of tea―or a cutting remark. She minds her own business in her quiet Melbourne suburb\, until a neighbor turns up dead and the whispers start flying. \nBecause Elsie hasn’t always been Elsie. Once upon a headline\, she was Mad Mabel Waller―Australia’s youngest convicted murderer. But was she really mad\, or just misunderstood? Either way\, she’s kept her secret buried for decades. \nEnter seven-year-old Persephone\, a relentless little chatterbox who has just moved in across the road (armed with stickers\, questions\, and no sense of personal boundaries); Joan\, who appears to have it in for Elsie; and a healthy dose of public interest―the cops are sniffing around\, and the media is circling like seagulls at a picnic. \nSo Mabel does what she’s always done best―she takes matters into her own hands. \nIs she a cantankerous old lady with a shady past? A cold-blooded killer with arthritis? Or just someone who’s finally ready to tell her side of the story? \nSharp\, surprising\, and wickedly funny\, this is the unforgettable story of a woman who’s spent a lifetime being underestimated―and is about to prove everyone wrong. Again.

SUMMARY:Ben Egloff Book Signing!
DESCRIPTION:The one thing every Game Master needs in order to run a session for their friends is an adventure. This book gives them everything they need and then some.\n\nGood\, professional-quality adventures are a necessity to play the game\, but they can be expensive\, sometimes costing upwards of $50 or more. Writing your own adventures can be a lot of fun\, but it takes an enormous amount of time to do so.\nThe Game Master’s Book of Adventures on Demand solves these issues by providing GMs with nearly a dozen adventures\, each suitable for an evening or two of play. They can be run as standalone game sessions or they can be linked together into one long\, ongoing campaign using a unique “Facilitator” that provides a connective tissue between adventures as well as epic climax against a one-of-a-kind\, earth-shaking villain.\n\nAnd as with every book in the Game Master series\, this volume is packed with dozens of extra tools designed to help GMs run their sessions with less stress and more fun. In addition to the ten one-shots and the Facilitator\, Adventures on Demand also provides instructions and tables for bringing adventuring parties together in fun and unique ways\, adding complications and twists to existing or home-brewed adventures and enhancing adventures with unique add-ons that elevate the playing experience. GMs will also find information about constructing different types of adventures from scratch or skinning existing adventures to fit the GMs preferred genre or style of play.

DESCRIPTION:Join us Wednesday June 10th as we discuss\, “Warship” by Joshua Dalzelle! \nGet your Signed (while supplies last) Copy Today!\nhttps://thecozybooknookdayton.square.site/shop/june-2026-beer-crawl-book-club/DZH5JKWUDSPRNW4OT2KWROJ7 \nFrom Joshua Dalzelle\, author of the best-selling Omega Force series\, comes an all new vision of humanity’s future. \nIn the 25th century\, humans have conquered space. The advent of faster-than-light travel has opened up hundreds of habitable planets for colonization\, and humans have exploited the virtually limitless space and resources for hundreds of years with impunity. So complacent have they become with the overabundance that armed conflict is a thing of the past\, and their machines of war are obsolete and decrepit. What would happen if they were suddenly threatened by a terrifying new enemy? Would humanity fold and surrender\, or would they return to their evolutionary roots and meet force with force? \nOne ship—and one captain—will soon be faced with this very choice.

DESCRIPTION:Join us Friday June 5th as we discuss “Yesteryear” by Caro Claire Burke!\n\nGet your Copy to Join the Conversation Today!https://thecozybooknookdayton.square.site/…/7PPTINXAW7P…\n\n#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • A GMA BOOK CLUB PICK • A NEW YORK TIMES BEST BOOK OF THE YEAR (SO FAR) • A traditional American woman\, a “tradwife” influencer\, suddenly awakens in the brutal reality of 1855—where she must unravel whether this living nightmare is an elaborate hoax\, a twisted reality show\, or something far more sinister in this sensational debut novel.\n“A bold and biting satire\, Yesteryear…will have you cackling and gasping right to the final page.”—Nita Prose\, #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Maid series\nMy name was Natalie Heller Mills\, and I was perfect at being alive.\nNatalie lives a traditional lifestyle. Her charming farmhouse is rustic\, her husband a handsome cowboy\, her six children each more delightful than the last. So what if there are nannies and producers behind the scenes\, her kitchen hiding industrial-grade fridges and ovens\, her husband the heir to a political dynasty? What Natalie’s followers—all 8 million of them—don’t know won’t hurt them. And The Angry Women? The privileged\, Ivy League\, coastal elite haters who call her an antifeminist iconoclast? They’re sick with jealousy. Because Natalie isn’t simply living the good life\, she’s living the ideal—and just so happens to be building an empire from it.\nUntil one morning she wakes up in a life that isn’t hers. Her home\, her husband\, her children—they’re all familiar\, but something’s off. Her kitchen is warmed by a sputtering fire rather than electricity\, her children are dirty and strange\, and her soft-handed husband is suddenly a competent farmer. Just yesterday Natalie was curating photos of homemade jam for her Instagram\, and now she’s expected to haul firewood and handwash clothes until her fingers bleed. Has she become the unwitting star of a ruthless reality show? Could it really be time travel? Is she being tested by God? By Satan? When Natalie suffers a brutal injury in the woods\, she realizes two things: This is not her beautiful life\, and she must escape by any means possible.\nA gripping\, electrifying novel that is as darkly funny as it is frightening\, Yesteryear is a gimlet-eyed look at tradition\, fame\, faith\, and the grand performance of womanhood.

But a Hodgkin’s lymphoma diagnosis changes everything. \nWhen the disease doesn’t respond to treatment\, Dell makes a bucket list—if she can’t beat cancer\, she’ll live life on her terms for as long as she can. But despite growing close to a surprising new friend and deepening her relationship with Charlie\, Dell wants more. Her fixation on crossing things off the list drives a wedge between her and the people she loves when she needs them most. \nIn a world where none of us is guaranteed enough time to accomplish everything we might desire\, Beyond the Bucket List reminds us that it’s not just what we do. It’s the lasting effect we have on the people around us.

SUMMARY:May Beer Crawl Book Club at the Wandering Griffin!
DESCRIPTION:Join us Wednesday May 13th as we talk about the book\, “After The Fall” by Edward Ashton!\n\nGet your Copy Today!\nhttps://thecozybooknookdayton.square.site/…/X2T5V5K7FB6…\n\n“John Pirhalla narrates with deft understanding of each character and of how to balance the story’s humor and tension.” — Booklist\nPart alien invasion story\, part buddy comedy\, and part workplace satire\, After The Fall by Edward Ashton\, author of Mickey7 (inspiration for the film Mickey 17)\, asks an important question: would humans really make great pets?\nHumans must be silent. Humans must be obedient. Humans must be good.\nAll his life\, John has tried to live by those rules. Most days\, it’s not too difficult. A hundred and twenty years after The Fall\, and a hundred years after the grays swept in to pick the last dregs of humanity out of the wreckage of a ruined world\, John has found himself bonded to Martok Barden nee Black Hand\, one of the “good” grays. Sure\, Martok is broke\, homeless\, and borderline manic\, but he’s always treated John like an actual person\, and sometimes like a friend. It’s a better deal than most humans get.\nBut when Martok puts John’s bond up as collateral against an abandoned house in the woods that he hopes to turn into a wilderness retreat for wealthy grays\, John learns that there are limits to Martok’s friendship. Soon he finds himself caught between an underworld boss who thinks Martok is something that he very much is not\, a girl who was raised by feral humans and has nothing but contempt for pets like John\, and Martok himself\, whose delusions of grandeur seem to be finally catching up with him.\nAlso\, not for nothing\, something in the woods has been killing people.\nJohn has sixty days before Martok’s loan comes due to unravel the mystery of how humans wound up holding the wrong end of the domestication stick and find a way to turn Martok’s half-baked plans into profit enough to buy back his life\, all while avoiding getting butchered by feral humans or having his head crushed by an angry gray. Easy peasy\, right?

Would humanity fold and surrender\, or would they return to their evolutionary roots and meet force with force? \nOne ship—and one captain—will soon be faced with this very choice. Against incredible odds\, Jackson Wolfe is determined to save humanity–and in the process\, might end up saving himself. \n2015 Goodreads Choice Award Nominee for Best Science Fiction \nFrom USA Today Bestselling author Joshua Dalzelle\, author of the bestselling Omega Force series! \nThe Expanse meets Old Man’s War\nFor fans of: The Expanse\, Battlestar Galactica\, Honor Harrington\, Starship Troopers\, Old Man’s War (John Scalzi)\, The Forever War (Joe Haldeman)\, The Lost Fleet (Jack Campbell)\, Terms of Enlistment (Marko Kloos)

If Sylvie truly wants to make her own mark and earn a place at Brindille\, she needs to uncover the truth about what happened all those years ago. But some will go to great lengths to ensure Sylvie fails\, and she soon finds herself tangled in a web of deceit. \nWith the unlikely help of frenemy Georgia Shaw and rising-star student Flora Jackson\, Sylvie must find a way to get to The Golden Whisk All-Stars competition and uncover the past before time runs out. Will she be able to redeem her family’s name and save her future\, or will it all end in burned butter and broken dreams?

Appearing only to those whose lives are adrift\, it’s a magical train seeming to carry very rare and special cargo: a sense of purpose\, peace\, and belonging.\nRaya is one of those lost souls. She had dreamed of being a songwriter\, but when her brother died\, she gave up on her dream and started living his instead.\nOne day on the subway\, as her thoughts wander\, she’s swept off to the Elsewhere Express. There she meets Q\, an intriguing artist who\, like her\, has lost his place in the world.\nTogether they find a train full of wonders\, from a boarding car that’s also a meadow to a dining car where passengers can picnic on lily pads to a bar where jellyfish and whales swim through pink clouds.\nOver the course of their long\, strange night on the train\, they also discover that it harbors secrets—and danger: A mysterious stranger has stowed away and brought with him a dark\, malignant magic that threatens to destroy the train.\nBut in investigating the stowaway’s identity\, Raya also finds herself drawing closer to the ultimate question: What is her life’s true purpose—and is it a destination the Elsewhere Express can take her to?
