SUMMARY:October Indie Book Club!
DESCRIPTION:Join us Friday October 16th as we discuss 3 Indie Books from some of our Local Authors! \nGet Your Signed Copies In-Store or Online Today!\nhttps://thecozybooknookdayton.square.site/shop/october-2026-indie-book-club/PJJYJX5VAIQNFOC7FDCVZIVK \nA Match Made in Autumn \nRhett harbors a secret crush on autumn-loving Amelia\, but one embarrassing incident in high school is enough make the two of them actively avoid one another for the rest of their lives. That is until ten years later when a dying fall festival and decades-long cold case inexplicably bring them together. \nAmelia takes over the annual North Louisiana fall festival and hopes to give it new life. With the help of her best friend and coworker\, Beth\, and her feisty Aunt Margie\, she’s well on her way to making the event one like the city has never seen before. At least she was until a meddling old woman\, rumored to be the town witch\, tries to sabotage it. \nRhett is a local newspaper reporter. On the heels of a broken marriage\, his work is suffering and he needs a good story to pull him out of his journalistic rut. The newspaper archives lead him to the cold case of a boy who went missing 20 years prior. \nWhen the missing boy’s story leads Rhett to the site of the city’s fall festival\, Amelia and Rhett are forced to confront their embarrassing past and work together. And fate (and one very mischievous one-eyed rescue dog) wants them to be together. \nFull of romance\, love\, heartbreak\, mystery and all kinds of autumnal and pumpkin spicy goodness\, A Match Made in Autumn is perfect for fans of found family\, self-discovery and serendipity. \n©2022\, 2023\, 2024 Jessica Booth (P)2024 Jessica Booth \nThe Gravekeeper (The Necromancer Legacies) \nTo be a necromancer is to dance with death and defy the laws of the living. To be an apprentice is to clean tombstones\, patch up zombies\, and endure the endless moaning of ghosts. Benjamin Stone is just months away from his rite- his moment to inherit the title of Gravekeeper and take his place among the Council of the Dead. There is only one problem: Ben cannot see ghosts. Without the spectral sight\, he will lose everything. His title. His legacy. His future. \nNow\, Ben must decide whether to follow his grandfather’s guidance or forge his own path to gain the spectral sight before it is too late. He’ll do whatever it takes-rob graves\, betray his bloodline\, and even descend into the netherworld itself. Because some destinies aren’t given. They are taken. \nThe Gravekeeper is a young adult dark fantasy paranormal coming of age novel that will intwine you into the world of The Necromancer Legacies \nHalf-Price Heroes: The King’s Biscuits: A Humorous Fantasy Adventure \nIn a world of Corporate Food Gods and famed Buttersmiths\, the disgraced ex‑captain of the Lionsguard\, Sir Bullstein\, joins forces with manipulative bard One‑Eyed Beverly on a morally gray job for coin. Their mission? To slay the absolute moron who disrupted famished and wrathful King Reggie’s breakfast. Instead of earning easy jimmynickels\, the party uncovers a deeper\, more sinister\, and far less trivial danger to the flourishing land of Jimmyville… one they are not at all suited to deal with. Can Bullstein and his band of dysfunctional rejects take down a self‑proclaimed genius and his criminal network? Only the Food Gods know.Whether you’re a fan of humorous fantasy satire or simply delight in chaotic mishaps\, prepare for a witty\, delightfully corporate\, and surprisingly dark escapade.Half‑Price Heroes is a humor‑filled misadventure packed with well‑developed characters\, dynamic world lore\, unpredictable quests\, and cheeky hilarity. The first book in a comedy‑fantasy series\, The King’s Biscuits blends bold twists on classic tropes\, eccentric personalities\, outlandish religious customs\, lovably despicable villains\, and bizarre mythical creatures.Featuring a regional map of Fumblia and interior illustrations by Driss Chaoui\, an unforgettable journey awaits.
